Two small quality-of-life additions. A new panel in Settings shows how many AI scans you have left this month and a history of what you have scanned, so you always know where you stand. And the Locations screen now remembers which sub-locations you have collapsed - tuck away the ones you are not using and they stay that way, even after a sync or a restart.
Add a photo to an item on the web or another device, and it could occasionally lag behind here - sometimes not appearing until you next opened the app. We found the sync gap behind it and closed it, so photos you add anywhere now arrive reliably on your other devices at the next sync. A small release, but a satisfying one to get right.
Last time you could build an item from a photo. Now you can finish one. Point your camera at something you already track, or its label, and additem.to fills in the details you skipped - serial number, model, barcode - and flags anything that looks wrong. You see every change first, and nothing is overwritten unless you say so. Perfect for the items you added in a hurry and meant to come back to.
A tidy-up release for the item and location screens. Delete prompts are now honest about the fact that what you remove waits in Recently Deleted for 30 days, we added a heads-up before you lose unsaved edits, the plan screens spell out exactly what you get, and VoiceOver support is much better throughout.
AI scanning got faster and smarter. You can scan one item and go straight to the next, sign in right where you start a scan, and the suggestions come back tidier and more in step with how you already organise things.
A quick follow-up to the AI scanning update. We fixed a rare sync issue, tidied up item pages so they only show the details you have filled in, and polished the photo screens. Thank you to everyone who sent feedback.
A small but important update that sorts out two photo problems. The camera no longer closes when you add a second photo to an item, and photos you take now stay put after syncing. Thank you to everyone who reported these.
Adding items just got a lot faster. Point your camera at something you own and additem.to suggests its name, brand, category and more - you review the details and save. It even fills in your custom fields and picks a matching item template. Every suggestion lands in the normal item form first, so you stay in control of what gets saved.
A polish release for the scan screen. You now feel a quick tap the moment a scan lands, so you know it worked without watching the screen, with an optional scan sound if you want one. A new toggle flips between QR and barcode without leaving the screen, and we fixed a scanner that sometimes did not restart after you opened an item and came back.
A reliability release. We tracked down a sync loop that could keep the app syncing when nothing had actually changed, tidied up how deleted and moved items are handled across devices, and reworked the location picker so it is searchable and no longer jumps around while a sync is running.
The physical tagging release. Barcodes join NFC and QR as first-class citizens: scan a product's own barcode, reuse labels from a previous system like Sortly, or generate and print fresh ones. NFC tags learned a new trick too - turn on Tap to Open and tapping the tag opens the item even when the app is closed. And QR codes you generate now open items straight from the iPhone Camera.
Custom fields just got tidier. Organise them into named groups - Camera Specs, Tool Info, Warranty Details - and collapse the ones you're not using. Or pin them inside the built-in sections so warranty expiry sits next to purchase date, where it belongs. Each inventory has its own section visibility too - hide Quantity in your home contents, hide Purchase Info in a workshop.
Create templates that pre-fill fields when you add a new item. Build a "Camera" template and it sets the category, shows the fields you need (serial number, model, manufacturer), and hides the ones you don't. Pick a template when adding an item and the form is ready to go.
Group items together for jobs, trips, or projects. Build a "Camera Kit" or "Camping Gear" kit, see everything in one place, and know at a glance if anything is missing before you head out.
Locations got a significant upgrade. Add an address and location type, see a full item breakdown, navigate nested locations with breadcrumbs, and move everything out of a location in one action.
Nest locations inside each other to reflect how you actually store things. Home > Garage > Top Shelf. See item counts at every level and drill down to exactly where something lives.
Start a pick list to pull specific items for a job, handover, or shoot. Scan or tap items as you gather them, then mark the list complete. A low stock report was added at the same time so nothing slips through the cracks.
A major update. The web app is now live for Pro Cloud subscribers. Share any inventory with someone else and give them viewer or editor access. Reports show your totals at a glance with breakdowns by location, category, and tag - exportable as PDF.
