Closed, the outside screen works like any iPhone. The tabs move down the side, so your list gets the whole height of the screen.

Open it out and you get one big page, with more of your list on screen at once and room to read every name in full.
Sideways, like a book
Turn it on its side and it becomes two pages. Your list stays on the left and whatever you tap opens on the right, split at the fold, so you can go through things one after another without losing your place.
It works on every tab. Items, Locations, Organise, Reports and Settings all open as two pages.
Stood up, half open
Stand it on a table half open and the item you're looking at sits on the top half, with your list on the bottom half where your thumb already is. Handy for a stocktake, or checking things off as you pack a box.
